  • @AndreeaM33 Then tell your wop buddies to stop feeding the stereotype...

    I kid, I kid.

But in all seriousness, some Italian people act that way. In turn it feeds the sterotype, also in turn making all Italians look bad.

  • oh...and I forgot to mention the cinema...which is genius if you have the patience to watch the black and white movies from the fifties..and I don't mean only La Dolce Vita, or the Sofia Loren and Mastroianni movies..there are many more. The most recent ones would be the Roberto Benigni directed and played..absolutely wonderful..

  • I love Italian and the Italian culture...But I think that the accent became popular in the United States only after the emigration waves in the beginning of the 1900 and the Godfather books and movies...unfortunately the world knows only a mix of cliche` gestures, loud expressions , pasta and pizza...yet there is much more to Italian culture: the Renaissance art, opera and poetry, the architecture, even the food contains much more refinement than the popular belief...

  • Italians are poets, artists of the word and we are feeling. Love is not dead because he survived the platitudes. Software written in Italian would not need updating. The Italian language is musical, rich in nuances. Sometimes you do not need words, just his intonation. The cars are cool, fast and synthetic: that is why they love the English language. (I'm an Italian too wordy, I know ..)
