  • BullMooseFilms, where can I get the Theatrical and Director's Cut? I can only seem to find the director's cut, which is about 20 minutes shorter, and it doesn't include this scene. :(

  • The director's cut is 20 minutes LONGER than the theatrical cut. The third version of the film is the 1991 Pioneer Laserdisc version, also reissued in 1996 by Columbia on Laserdisc. These versions are unavailable except through a used laserdisc. Or watching the stuff I have put up, which is all the missing footage. The difference between these LD versions and the director's cut is about 5 minutes.

  • No, this was cut from the Theatrical and Director's Cut. It is taken from the 1991 Pioneer Laserdisc release which restored more footage than the director wished to restore at the time of the DVD release.

  • @BullMooseFilms I have the director's cut and this isnt in it.

  • @dht23 Yes, because the director cut it...

  • I dont remember this in the dvd! Whered u find this clip?!

  • It's from the 1991 Laserdisc release.

  • @BullMooseFilms Oh, I thought you said that it was on the directors cut. lol nevermind.

  • In our production the director moved this part of the song to the moment Lee comes back with the proposal.

He wanted to fill in the long gap between the songs.

  • I only saw this part LIVE on stage at Fords Theater in Washington DC a few years ago. i did not know that they had a print (or a take) in the film. Interesting post and a good one. Thanks

  • "Full-bosomed, Benji!" *dies laughing*

  • lol John fell in the water.... I've neve seen this before! This is so funny! I just KNEW that Lee wasnt gone...

  • I can't believe I've never seen this before. This is hysterical.

  • haha if they had kept it in the actual movie i think it would have been to overbearing... haha i love his song though
