Several KSDS puppy raisers and graduates got together to tour a fire station and socialize their dogs with all the sights, sounds and smells. The video starts out showing the pups as the firemen describe what's going to happen.

Then, a fireman carries around a medical bag that is typical when going on a medical call. Next, they slowly suit up to show the dogs what all their equipment looks like. The dogs aren't scared as he gets fully dressed and even talks through the mask which makes his voice sound different. The firemen even help acclimate the dogs to the beeping sounds on their equipment to help keep the firemen safe.

Next, they went outside to see and hear the lights and sirens of the truck. Dogs and handlers could walk around as they wanted. A young puppy barks back at the fire truck and then it goes to one of the oldest puppies in the group (Hosta) and his non-reaction. This is an ideal reaction for a future guide dog or service dog.

The next frame is of the puppies socializing around the truck with just the lights flashing. And, the last frame is of the confident older labrador retriever Hosta helping some less confident golden retrievers realize the fire truck isn't something to be afraid of.
