Please note: it is not my intention to constantly upload a faster version after the original. If however I do find reasons for improvement then I will redo the sections & upload the new version.
I have made several changes to save a total of 9 seconds on my previous vid. The changes & reasons are as follows:-
Advent Palace (assent):-
Saved time by not collecting the final SGM. I realised I could get away with one less than before. Sleep Gas Mines are not used at all now. Besides, SGS; the preferred choice, are more efficient & reliable.
Advent Palace: Frogs:-
4th Floor: Menu speed was quicker as I didn't need to select the SGMs. This also saved selecting the SGMs in the weapon windows. As a side note, the menu has a nasty tendancy to slow down if you go too fast. You can notice this as the switch is made from 'weapons' to 'items'.
3rd Floor: Didn't miss a headshot thus saving a second.
2nd Floor: Changed placement of the Sleep Gas Satchels. 2 SGS are needed for this floor. Only 1 SGS is required to deal with any Haven Troopers when you reach the 1st floor.
Deliberately knocked out Johnny earlier & Meryl. This also saved waiting a second for Johnny's stun 'star'. It also ensured that no other Frogs would escape my SGS detonations. If you are slightly late then they will escape. The double knockout allowed me to use the Drum Can (which is faster than running &/or cancelling early & then running on) all the way to the exit, waking both of them en route. It is risky though as Meryl is particularly prone to a single shot kill at this time. Meryl gains 2 stun 'stars' with the first hit. It takes 1 hit with the Drum Can to wake her & 2 separate hits otherwise.
The last 2 Haven Troopers arrived much earlier than expected & took me by surprise. Thankfully it turned out for the better. You cannot CQC the Haven Troopers face on unless you punch or run into them first. If you don't reset the Drum Can when at the balcony area then chances are Snake will vomit before he reaches the exit, wasting valuable time.
1st Floor: Headshots all round & time saved.
Anytime an item window is cancelled automatically it will remove the next item. The example is the Drum Can in my vid. The Drum Can was automatically unequipped/cancelled upon reaching the exit. This removed the Solid Eye from the item window pair.
Advent Palace: Garage:-
Selected the Solid Eye again. No time was wasted selecting it here. This was tested with selection & without. The time was exactly the same in both instances.
