If people know something about nature at all, they would know that whatever animal mother there is.. The animal will always be protective of it's young ones. People should be aware that this place isn't so much of a park, it's a wild natural life and people seem to forget that!
@Rodel757 I would say that is there home not our playground STAY AWAY FROM BEARS WITH CUBS and get real do we really need to tell people it should be obvious
I'm just wondering when are people going to realize you don't mess with Mother Nature...you can't keep the water back...you can't assume that it's safe to camp as if you're in your own back yard. I just don't get why people are so ignorant? (not meant for the poor fellow who died btw) And they're always showing Yellowstone and other places with a bunch of tourist out of their cars...clicking away...When the truth is...any wild animal can cross 100 yrs in 4 seconds flat!
The word "Park" implies.. BBQs and Family Fun....and restrooms..
They should Rename this place" The Yellowstone National Wildlife Reservation... " and post Warning signs about Bears and Wolves...and stop calling it a Park!
@ipscone Ahhh.....they do. When you enter Yellowstone they give you a ton of info and brochures that tell you all about the wildlife, what to do, what not to do. They have a ton of signs up all over the place. Before you go on overnight hikes, you have to go through a bear safety course. Perhaps you should take some time and visit the park before you accuse the Park Service for not doing a good job of letting people know there are bears in the park.
@Rodel757 Actually you are incorrect with your definition of what a park is. A park is land set aside for recreation. The definition also includes an area where animals are protected. Hence the official name is Yellowstone National Park and the reason why the officials who regulate and patrol the area are a part of the National Park Service.
@LetzBeaFranque lol, that would have been the average persons sign to start walking backwards slowly from where they came. I have little sympathy for their ignorance.
just take a fuckin gun with you, or at least an ammonia squirter....fuckin bears, cant even have a peaceful day in the woods...

They call it a "Park"...
I call it "The Forest"...
Im pretty sure that Bears belong in the Forest...and they behave like bears in their natural environment..
Parks have swing sets and picnic benches ..and mens and ladies rooms....Thats a good place for people.
