i was 9 and at steamtown when they held thier grand opening on july 1, 1995. this is a vid my dad flimed of the parade of steam.

No...that's the whistle she's always had...i know what the 6039's whistle sounds like. Def. not it.

can't explain...i have 33rpm record (if u know what those are) from 196? from Steamtown when it was in vermont...2-8-0 #15 was the power back then and in the record she has on the 6039's whistle...I also know this because they interview F. nelson blount on it and he even says it..

What a sight, too bad they don't do things like that anymore, I like the 142, it's got a cute little bell for such a big loco, I didn't know the 261 was there or the 425, what a sight and what memories. I was only 8 too so I didn't fully understand what was going on but it was thanks to this that we did go and I loved it.
