The claim that the collapse was the result of a fire requires the fire be equally distributed throughout the entire floor of the building, providing equal heat for an equal amount of time, so that all the load bearings members would fail at the exact same moment.

Thanks again 911. Good info (for those who can handle it). I respectfully wanted to comment on your EXCELLENT glass / pane resistance analogy. From my own research, I have learned (and makes perfect sense) that the Steel got thicker the closer to the ground it got. So far looks like the 1/4" thick steel that "evaporated" near the 80th floor, increased in size to nearly 4" thick on the first floor. Adequate Heat transfer could NOT have occurred.

No matter what actually happened that day, IT WON'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE. It won't put the towers back up, it won't bring all those people back, and it certainly won't change your minds about the government.

Even if someone gave irrefutable proof to who did it, it won't matter. Conspiracy theorists will come up with MORE theories as to how that was a plot to throw them off.

I honestly don't care who did it. The fact remains that it happened, and people died.

Another thing that hasnt been mentioned is that if the towers pancaked the decent of the floors at the top would at first be slow increasing with speed as more weight accumulated and piled upon the floors bellow, you would also see dust and debris puffing out on all sides as the floors clapped together, also one might expect to see the central support columns exposed or peeling apart, someone needs to recreate a scale model of the forces imposed on these structures

It is compleatly possible that these buildings collapsed under their own weight once the heat from the flames weakened the structure of the buildings main supports.
