New song "Weird Fshes / Arpeggi" performed live at the Bonnaroo Music Festival, Manchester, TN, June 17, 2006. Multicam video with improved audio.

Lyrics:
In the deepest ocean
The bottom of the sea
Your eyes
They turn me

Why should I stay here?
Why should I stay?

I'd be crazy not to follow
Follow where you lead
Your eyes
They turn me

Turn me into phantoms
I follow to the edge of the earth and fall off
Everybody leaves if they get the chance
And this is my chance

I get eaten by the worms
And weird fishes
Picked over by the worms
And weird fishes
Weird fishes
Weird fishes

Yeah I
I hit the bottom and
Hit the bottom and escape
Escape
I hit the bottom and
Hit the bottom and escape
Escape

Many thanks to formengr for editing the video and Ed for the audio.

  • they are the "pink floyd" of our generation. im not saying theyre better than floyd or vice versa, im just saying that similarities are there. just like floyd, every album is different and pretty much a masterpiece. before bashing me, this is just my opinion. anyway can't wait to see them live!!!!!

  • what do you mean "out"? Listen to Bad moon rising by Sonic youth, that's out there.

I love radiohead more than any other band ever but they are not nearly as experimental as you are saying they are.

  • @stpcreepstp ....good one...

  • @TuMira85,

You're cherry-picking. Sure a band like Sonic Youth has highly experimental songs like Bad Moon Rising, The Diamond Sea, etc...but they also have very approachable punk rock songs like "100%", "On The Strip", "Bull In The Heather", etc.

In the same way, Radiohead had approachable songs, but they also have songs like "Pull/Pulk Revolving Doors", "Fasttrack", "In Limbo", "Hunting Bears", "Feral", "The Gloaming", etc. They're as sane, or insane, as they choose, and great both ways.

  • @Satiaraha that performance was outstanding i remember when i saw it on tv, i was like shiitttttt, jools was skankin to it too

  • Listen to this one, then go listen to ([HD] Radiohead - Weird Fishes/Arpeggi (Live @ Saitama Super Arena - Oct 5, 08 - Tokyo, Japan)...amazing how much better they've gotten at performing this one live!

  • yo dawg i heard you like radiohead, so i had her give me radiohead while listen'in to radiohead

  • this version is a very good beta version but the final is more pure and clean and the best perform of this song is in jools holand show check it

  • this version > IR version

  • I wish this song had played during my first kiss. Something about it would have been amazing. Ah well, I will have it playing with the next person i kiss

  • I agree. I simply was saying that creating good music, in the eyes of the audience (or rather, ears), is not necessarily entirely based in musical brilliance or innovation.

Now, 6 months after that post, I am about to release an album, and am perfectly aware of the line of the artist being happy with the product (or not) and the vast difference between that end, and actually having listeners/fans.

  • Hmm, your statement is true for one side of the spectrum. To listeners that don't understand the innovation behind certain music, it may very well not be enjoyable nor meaningful. To the artist, however, it's alot different. To strive for innovation AND be content with the end result makes it all the more meaningful and enjoyable.

Every artist or band out there has the potential to be great - you just have to open your ears and your heart (assuming the intention is there to begin with).
