Peace Village Helps Children Heal

In Germany, Lions and LCIF support a peace village where children who are victims of accidents and war receive medical care they would not have access to in their homeland.

Children who have fallen victim to wars and crises. Sick children who cannot receive adequate treatment in their home country.

At any one time, nearly as many as 300 children, from infants to teenagers, are being treated for burns, infections and injuries.

What these children receive at the peace village goes far beyond new limbs and improved health. By living together, working together and healing together theyve developed new friendships, a new outlook on life, and a new understanding of peace.

Since 1967 Peace Village has treated nearly 42,000 children. Lions are proud to partner with Peace Village to reach across borders to help children in need.
