  • hello buddy nice video...I would like to put a single weber idf 40 and a small supercharger with 0,6 pressure in my beetle, but I don`t know if it will be good. The configuration is a original1600cc just with w110 engle cam. What do you think about it? tks and see my videos.

  • @paulinhovwaircooled

not sure about superchargers man....i have no experience with them at all...

    sorry i couldn't help....thx for watchin'

  • hey there good buddy i got a 63 bug baja and im running the duall 34ict webers and honestly, i really dispise them. im thinking about switchin back to the single carb. What would be the best single carb to run?

thanks for all the help, take care

  • @Next2Nothing169

that is a good question.....i guess it really depends on the size of the engine you are running. A lot of guys swear by Weber Progressive carbs for stock engines, i've had mixed success with them. What kind of problems are you having with your ICT's, that is my favorites carb setup, maybe the issue can be resolved?

    take care buddy!

  • Hello. Hambone, ive seen this WEBER 32/36 DFAV PROGRESSIVE TWIN CHOKE CARBURETTOR on ebay and its new and unused. Do you thik it wouldbe any good for my 1600ccstock engine?

it's hard to say because elevation as a bit to do with jet size, however i would start with 40's and go from there.

    hope this helps....

  • i just took the carb & manifold off. it turns out the manifold was repaired badly one of the bottompipes i think they are called heater chanels or something they feed into the exhaust. well they have been repaired meaning the main tubes that connect to the manifold via rubber gaskets were very squint so i have ordered a new manifold. as before i just couldnt stop it from back firing. maybe you can tell me what jet sizes i should use for a pretty straight 1600? your video was a god send thanks.
