  • any reason you chose the s1 over the a1 or a2?

  • @aseglkj smaller and cheaper, lol (",)

  • If you need to chop wood why not carry a small axe and the keep the Fallkniven S1 to use as a knife!

  • @4funky1 cause not in all survival situations u dont have an axe on you,if i had the option to carry a knife that can do it all or an axe or both, ill choose the knife!i pretty much think that anyone with a vid like this will say the same thing(",)

  • Great video, thanks for putting it up.

    I am contemplating an S1...

  • @freakboy414 thanx,go for it (",)

  • Just buy a bloody axe!

  • I usually just chop half way then stomp on it to break the rest through. Nice vid. :) I have the F1 and the A1. The S1 was just a bit too small for me. ;) The A1 is really thick and has really good forward weight, making it excellent for chopping so long as you have something under whatever you're chopping so you don't chip the edge!

  • @rt4mf Smaller and cheaper, when you have a Busse sitting right next to it? Btw, why compare chopping capabilites between 2 REALLY different SIZED knives?

  • @4funky1 It's been my experience that even better than a small axe is a pocket chain saw. With some practice, you'll be even FASTER than an axe and pretty close in energy efficiency. Watch some of the videos and you'll see.

  • @ronbaberiba AK47, try to process wood to make fire or build a shelter or build animal trap OR try to attack/defend when the bullets run out :). Regards.

  • i just dont get the knife as an ax/saw thing.

  • a knife that big weighs as much as a small axe, batonning a hatchet lets you split bigger trees, and if you really care about weight a folding lapco saw would cut that tree cleaner, quicker, safer, and you can split wood with the saw if you know how, just watch ray mears. The busse wins on coolness, that its only benefit. I still dont get the chopping trees with knives fad

  • Wow. It may be only a small knife but that was very impressive. Seems to process wood better than my KA-BAR USMC....... and that has a 7" blade! Think Im going to get one of these. Nice work.

    Cheers, Scott.
