I just murdered one of these things once I took it off and there was a loose pin in the engine and it drove itself right to the ground

Nothing wrong in this video (besides takeoff :P) he was just doing aerobatics. Notice the smoke system he has installed. Im no RC pilot but I do have a PPL and I couldn't find anything wrong.

spend alittle more time on takeoffs and landings, forget that aerobatic crap, cubs I flew couldn't do any of that anyhow....

tail heavy + high lift wing + heavy head wind - gyro = semi-controllable chaos.

you have the c.g in the wrong place and the wind caught the right wing on takeoff amatuer mistake....
