I have 3 now, the first one was done by my doctor when I was 11 months old (it's an indian thing) and I did the second and third by myself. of course it got infected and was a stupid thing to do but I love my piercings now. but I used a needle when I did the 3rd cartilage...

waw... that's not recommended at all
you have to be pierced with a needle not a piercing gun which "is designed and advertised for earlobe piercing only."
i hope you didn't have any problems after that piercing because sometimes, piercing guns can crack cartilage
so how is your ear now xD?

considering you got your ear peirced as a baby you did a good job! i was scared too my first time but it just stung. no big deal. :)
