First of all, if you like it, please subscribe and comment and stuff like that! And if this helps you, please put a video response on this video or something so I can hear what you have come up with! ^^

So here is the film I have promised for... I don't know, 3 months now. There have been some difficulties in capturing this, but finally it is done!

First of all, I won't be giving out the .flp files or any exact numbers for the knobs or anything, since those are something you just simply have to experiment yourself. These are just the basic tools to get you started.

The stuff I speak makes no sense for the most of the film. This is because when I concentrate into making music I really concentrate 100% into listening, so I won't really be very talkative while doing this...

I also tried to keep it as simple as possible. The kicks I had for, for example Welcome to the Rock and Believe in It, had 3 synths for the distortion and 3 synths for the tok, accompanied with 2-3 samples.

I will propably do another film to give a better look into the tok, since now it kinda was left out.

Don't expect the kick to sound perfect on the first try. I have been working out with the kick for well over a year now, fiddling with the knobs pretty much daily, and I'm still not even close to a good one.

No, the kick you hear in this vid wouldn't fight with the likes of noisecontrollers or Zatox.

And remember, always change the kick according to the rest of the music. That's why it isn't that good to just show how to create the kick, since it will most likely sound different when you actually have everything else on top of it.

Also, something that I say in the end, but I want to put it here too. The key for the right sound lies in the EQ. Work with it. With it you can change so many things. if you are starting out with electronic music, you will most likely end up screwing it up totally in the beginning (I did it too), but it will pay back the work when you actually know what it does.

Anyways, now I'm off to study how to create a perfect reverse bass and finish some of my songs!

  • @TheTOPProductions Yeah e really waQ one

  • @Kevinchapelier Yeah, it's a tennis ball right?

  • This is not a kick

  • nice try but the tail is a littlebit to short, try to put on more distortion it would sounds in the first place ugly but when you drop on some eq's you get a great kick.

Counts for everybody: you need to make it ugly before you can make it pretty :)

  • sorry, but the eqing sounds fucked up and all wrong same as the disto, work on that!

  • @ginntube1 Standalone bank, number 20 "PERC - KickMOH SA. There's also another one in 21: "PERC - DaKick SA"

  • DR KickMOH is called "PERC - KickMOH SA" and can be found in the "Standalone-Music SoundBank" Soundbank.
