Sunrise in Toronto - July 2009

Toronto is not only one of the greenest metropolises on the planet, it is also a city at Lake Ontario, one of the largest lakes on the planet. This means that we don't only enjoy a uniquely rich flora and fauna, but are also able to admire beautiful sunrises, nearly every single day of the year.

Thanks for your nice comment. I had to get up very early to get the pictures, but it was more than worth it. We often don't think about how fortunate we are, living at the shores of an enormous lake and in a climate where we have long periods without rain, not to mention that when we are facing the lake, we are facing South. It is a lot harder to get these magnificent views from the States.
