Obie the Walrus Sea World

Meet Obie, the amazingly cool walrus at Arctic Adventure at Sea World in San Diego. He is 24 years old and weighs 3000 pounds. His whiskers are called mustacial vibrissae. They are very sensitive to feel out clams and other shellfish in the ocean floor. I was so lucky to meet Obie on a special behind the scenes tour at Sea World on 9-9-11. He is AWESOME.
