Direct Payments are an immoral attempt to reduce services and to force people into the private sector.
Usually they are forced upon learning disabled people who are then told they won't get the help they desperately need. They are as good as abondoned.
Because we have nurses/ social workers/ council staff who are more used to meeting targets than needs, no-one speak sout against these disgraceful abuse of the most vulnerable people in society.
