if u have to get gamma knife radation.. good luck i had it a couple months back.. i am 16 years old and i have a brain avm.

i have no idea how i just landed on this video, but it has been ten years since i was treated by dr. steiner and his team for my acoustic neuroma. i had already had three conventional surgeries and the piece of remaining tumor on my brain stem had grown again. gamma knife was recommended by my DC doctors and honestly, i was totally against it. Meeting Dr. Steiner immediately changed all that, and I knew I was in the best hands possible and I was definitely going to work with him.

do you have to get gamma more than one time like radiation?

I had this treatment by Dr. Steiner also, but it was done in Stockholm, Sweden in 1986, I was 21 years old with an avm in my brain stem. It was operated on once before, but I had a reoccurring bleed post operative, since the gamma knife I have not had a bleed and I am extremely thankful and greatful for Dr. Steiner giving me a second chance at life!!!!! I'm 45 now w/ 3 beautiful children!!
