New spiral cell + test of all cells. The spiral is handmade and absorbs about 32 amps (12 volts) and when I have the casing active it goes to 44 amps but the production remains comparable to the 32 amps: I am realizing that good building skills and equipment are a nice thing to have, but in hydroxy production once the cell is perfect unless you are connecting it to a sofisticated fine tuned electronically advanced electric system you go nearly nowhere, you remain stock.
So now I will learn as much as I possibly can in order to build an optimized cell and then I will go about hooking it up to the best electronical solutions I can find and balance the two tings together.
With all the help I am getting from so many people who care I am sure I can come much closer to this goal.

  • I need someone to help me. During my experiment the current was returning to the power source and spoiling my DC device the sound of my gen set will just rise immediately abnormally. although hydrogen was being generated very well but this adverse situationis my concern. Please could the water cause short circuting?

  • @dejiola2001 No because distilled water is actually an insulator, but on the other hand I do not know your testing conditions. Check all the connections and look if there is any dirt stuck between plates. Consult an expert electrician with proper measuring equipment he should be able to help you out.

  • Nicely made kit, but has anyone actually measured the volume of gas being produced ? It needs to be a hell of a lot as 40 amps at a nominal 13.5v is over HALF A KILOWATT !! No wonder it gets hot !

  • @BunkyOhare You are perfectly right and fully on the spot! But by now I hope I have some better plates cell solutions. Thank you

  • Do the cells ever corrode? How long do they last?

  • i do believe that 55A at 3V is a good combo

  • My ac to dc power supply consisted of a 300V 70A Bridge Rectifier to convert my 120 wall ac to dc. Going to use the same power supply on the spiral cell and see how it goes, i suggest you give it a go as well :D THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!

Cheers & happy holidays to all!

  • Just recently I made a 59 plate dry cell with 1 positive 1 negative and 57 neutral... Ran it @ 130V/6A which produced about 5LPM we up'ed the mix to about 15A and produced over 10LPM!!! Works great for welding :D I think the trick is with the power supply, running low voltage and high amerage gets way too hot, try running high dc voltage and low amperage, you'll probably have much better results :)

  • Hey ammanninox! Dad and I made a spiral cell similar to yours, outter tube negative, spiral positive and inside tube negative, sealed off with nylon caps on the ends with all the appropriate fittings... We tried running it off a mig welder @ 27V/60A which produced about 1 to 2 LPM, unfortunately the welder shut-off as it got too hot...

  • How many cell dry do I need for a car with a motor of 8 cylinders and is a 4.6 explorer? Thanks.

  • witch cell would you recommend ?
