Hi Amy,

Mostly it's E-minor going to D, except a few occasions where it goes to C first, then D, then back to the E-minor. As far as which strings/notes I'm picking exactly: I'm not sure...I'm just banging blindly on it with no set pattern, hoping it sounds good : ) To determine when it goes to the C instead of the D, though, I recommend listening to the recording (that's what I did). This is such a stirring song ... great lyrics. You do a wonerful job covering it. There is an acoustic version that Manu Chao does that you can find on YouTube where he goes in an Em, D, C progression and then changes to an Em, C, Am at the end.
