This video shows my first real attempt to build something using microcontroller. It's atmega8 with PWM sound output (but it doesn't use built-in PWM, just portb's pin toggling), 5 diodes and 4 momentary switches. Two switches raises or lowers sound pitch. Program was written in C. Besides that I also made switchable multi-mode-diode-blinker ;-)

  • Do you have your port output going directly to the speakers, or is it going to an amplifier first?

  • there is only capacitor (to remove dc offset) and two resistor voltage divider (to get 0.5v pp) and this is connected directly to the amplified speakers

  • This is not PWM. It's 50% duty cycle with frequency change. It's a common mistake made by a lot of people. PWM use the same frequency with changing duty cycle.

  • make a 8 bit game sound!!! Mario Bros STYLE!!! )))

  • make it dj style

  • cos'e'?

  • nice
