Why doesn't the automated announcement system have the "Stop Requested" phrase when someone signals a stop?

Good question. The ring sound is like a universal language for stop requested. Adding the phrase in the announcement can get annoying and too much to listen to. When the internal sign or announcement thing doesn't work it just dings once and the sign by the door is lit like the older buses. Also the the wheelchair stop requested button which is visible when the seats are flipped up makes another tone. It is like a door bell (ding dong) and Lift Requested is displayed.

Yes it was a little slow on this portion of the route. There was another bus in front.
