She'd been feeling dizzy. She'd told Miss Peterson earlier that she wasn't feeling well,but Miss Peterson ignored her.

I think it probably was, yes. At the end of the episode (not shown here), there's a scene where Sally's in hospital, being visited by her friends from GH, perhaps I'll post that later.

Avidviewer67 - would ambulance drivers have handled injured people that roughly? That's scary. I'm just interested because obviously the idea of trained paramedics is quite new (1990s as you say) but I would have thought that ambulance drivers, even back then, would have had some basic medical training.

You're quite right, tielle707. Amanda Mealing — who called herself Mandy Mealing back then — went on to play Connie Beauchamp in the 'Casualty' spin-off 'Holby City'.

Those aren't paramedics, paudge2u, those are ambulance officers. Paramedics — like, for example, Jeff and Dixie in 'Casualty' — wouldn't be introduced until at least the 1990s.

This really freaked me out as a kid, it's funny watching it now. In my memory the heart beat sound went on for ages just before she fell.
