Tibetan Buddhist nun Ven. Tenzin Palmo explains that, although we desperately want happiness, we are undermined by a society that rewards greed, aggression and egotism. She asserts these causes of suffering are ultimately based on a misconception of who we really are. With heartfelt passion for human potential, Tenzin Palmo asks, "How can we collectively wake up?"

  • this woman is very wise, and sounds really intelligent. She makes good points about aggression and greed.

  • There are to many solutions, the world is created to exist, to be in harmony and balance. we're responsible for ourselves, each other and our environment. we need to be more wise, respect-full and open for new solutions and possibilities for each other. we need take as much psychedelic plants for healing as possible, to dissolve the delusions and obstacles that have penetrated our minds, it have been the only working medicine for millennia. there is much to learn.

  • I love looking in her eyes. She is so full of compassion. I can feel her frustration and yet her stubborness of continue effort in helping others 'to wake up'. She is so real and so aware of her own limitation, 'even Buddha cannot do it'. Personally, my humble opinion is that 'The Karma'. People are just like flowers. Flowers bloom at different time. With all these talks and reminders, she is planting the seed for 'awakening'. With right conditions, the 'awakening' will come. _(I)_ _(I)__(I)_

  • What is the music?

  • Awakening...the Prime Object, allied to Primum Mobil (first causation).

  • @ajb108 Without the awakening of the majority, or at least reaching a tipping point, the fallen priesthoods will continue to prey upon the unaware.

Society is predicated upon object possession (mental and physical), for it is the majority of what we have to work with from 'beginning' to 'end' in this existence. Aggression and greed stem, not from innate desires or predispositions, but from direct experience of predation.

Do not expect the moral to become the fodder of the immoral.

  • If one will not trace back to the promoters of man acting as wolf to man, and deal with the problem (as Rama was forced to admit had to be done), the same fractal will hold in existence.

However, man acting as wolf to man cannot be used as a denigration of what is necessary to function in the material world.

Want (scarcity) is a state of mind. A form of starvation across all spheres of society. Elliminate the conception of want (also the negative of hope) intellectual and material

  • Sadly, this woman is not Aware. If she was, she would note that the Budhha did not start 'religion'. "Go, Go Further, Go Further Still."

There is no end goal to Awareness, as The Lotus unfolds constantly. That is its inherent beauty. Having no end, one cannot support fallen priesthoods trading on the ignorance of common men by stating that theirs is the 'final' say in the matter.

Before awareness, making fires and carrying water. After awareness, making fires and carrying water

  • @ase010 pseychedelic substances are nothing but dead-end streets disguised as short-cuts.

  • How is it possible to not agree about this?
