@Thelookoutslookout well, i've never been to seattle and it's unclear for me why there is no motivation. one of the highest life standards, modern city.... people would love new professional sport, e.g. hockey. on the other side it's nice to see soccer is spreading in usa. so i do cheer for sounders !
@vitacit Nashville actually have decent fans.....Seattle is a strange case though. Lack of fan motivation was part of the reason the Sonics left town. And that's the team that most people have always associated Seattle with. So they have the Seahawks and Mariners both playing in great new stadiums. Sounders are clearly a success. But it's not a hockey town.....that said, Atlanta isn't either. Dunno, Seattle is a funny city. I
@phantiasmic: 36k fans a game is absolutely more than any NBA or NHL game (besides the Winter Classic, of course).
To be fair, though, that's because it's rare to have an arena for basketball or hockey that seats more than 21k. I'm sure that there are several NBA/NHL teams that might be able to draw 35k per game 41 times a year if facilities weren't an issue. (Namely: the Lakers, the Maple Leafs, and the Canadiens)
@cbruscato84 it is football hence the foot part, check it up the football association came well before american football, so yes you copied but look stupid in the process
