I believe that Palmer is making a statement about how silly it is that girls wish for a "perfect" boyfriend. You'll notice that at times she seems sarcastic and, at the end, unsatisfied with her plastic relationship. Palmer is saying that real relationships, although stressful, are much more valuable and complex than plastic, perfect ones, which are no better than a relationship with a dildo.

I really dont think she would make this song have such serious moments if it all revolved around a dildo. even if it kind of is, you have to look at the deeper meaning of the song instead of being a perv

I love how absolutely real she looks without makeup but shes still absolutely beautiful and then when she has all her makeup on the faces she makes and she acts is like a cartoon character (0:53). She is honestly the most perfect woman. and as far as the meaning of the song goes i think it's about how she got her heart broken (see 1:25) and now shes resorted to a fantasy guy (if you must, a dildo) because it's better to pretend than to have a shitty guy hurt you again.

It's not about a dildo though. I don't think it is. I think it's about hating the rawness of a real relationship, so intead she wants to invent her own, in her head so she can control everything and he won't be able to hurt her. The control, I think, is emphasised by the line "I can even f*ck him in the a**" (which was changed to 'take him in the bath' in this version). It underlines the control she has over him, because of anal sex being seen as taking control.
