Oh, I could see how fake Pelosi sounded. The word "change" was brought up even then and what change did we get? Something far worse than what was promised in 2006. Listening to Pelosi, I could see that many promises were broken. ...and no, Democrats can't blame Bush or Republicans any more. It's all on their shoulders now and now it's their time (not Republicans) to pay.

This speech is a checklist of reasons why the Democrats will be voted out of power in 2010. Any Republican running for office could run this speech-or highlights of it, and then just fade to black. "That was 4yrs ago. Vote Republican [insert name here] for Congress."

I don't understand the thinking of liberals. According to them 40% republicans can stop anything they want stopped. But 49% democrats couldn't have stopped funding for the wars, patriot act, tax cuts or anything else they opposed.

Well John Kerry (rolls eyes), there was no filibuster used and the Dems could have passed whatever they wanted if the bills they wanted pushed through didn't stink to high heaven...the R's could have stayed home and it wouldn't have made one bit of difference in the outcome. But seeing as how they couldn't get anything done within their own party even with the massive bribes shows you how out of touch with real life you are!

well i wrote that two years ago before i knew that the GOP would use archane senate rules to grind the Gov to a halt. it makes no sense in a democracy for 41% of a Gov branch to controll or even have the powet to HALT the movement of Gov. So no i dont blame the 55ish Dems who are trying to get things done. I do blame the 45 Sens (dems included) who use an archane rule to fuck things up. And if you dont know what im talking about then maybe you should take a Gov class again.
