@jt130991 Les Darcy is Australian, but I've heard of Irishmen who claimed him The PRIDE of IRELAND, ditto for Philadelphia Jack O'Brien and many others. Irish D.N.A. was always a plus for a fighter. Darcy was a top 50 fighter of all time, despite the fact that Bert Sugar has forgotten him. See what the Irishman Jack Dempsey said about LESS ( his pronounciation ).

Barry McGuigan was a brilliant boxer, a lovely person and a fantastic ambassador for both Irish and British boxing. He fought for and won British titles, but never forgot his Irish roots. Im English, and always remember him with great pride and affection.
