Duke Ellington's song 'Just Squeeze Me' for jazz piano trio.
The bass and drums were recorded before hand.
Unfortunately the video loses sync with the audio towards the end - out just a bit!
The basic leadsheet I used is in The New Real Book Vol 3 p.194 (Sher Music)
I will put the video. and a midi file recorded at the same time on my site at
http://web.newsguy.com/dougmck
Put the midi file into a sequencing or notation program to see the music - or play along with the bass and drums!

  • I believe this is Doug MacKenzie from Australia and he is a wonderful performer as well as a university instructor. He has a web site devoted to helping listeners and students learn the art of jazz.

  • There is hope for me then! I have small hands also.

Good observation. Funny I didn't notice his small hands. But you know, my first piano teacher said that some of the best improvisers in the world have small hands.

  • Awesome!You play very well!
