@luizgustavolgss hyperrealistic paintings are paintings that look real enough to be photos... hence why they you've confused the paintings with photos :)
(cont.) It's something you're either born with or you're not. My son independently developed a style virtually identical to mine, with the same drives and inspirations as I have, w/o ever having seen my work or had a lesson from me. We're both just 'wired up' that way artistically.
So was my grandmother (an artist/art teacher), my uncle, an artist and an illustrator in marine biology for the Canadian Govt., and my cousin who created the sculpted animals in a prominent Canadian museum.
@nfnkalyan, WELL SAID! Since childhood, realism has always been the only style of art which really turned me on, and I have never been inspired to draw or paint in any other way. I got called an 'illustrator', 'not a real artist' etc so many times when young that I never really regained my artistic self respect.
Drawing/painting realistically can be so exciting and inspiring for artists who are drawn (sorry ;-) to it.
watch a video called "beached whaler"on here and he will take you step by step, it;s crazy, it looks so real..these ppl are so talented, and anyone can do this if they applied themselves, i am not interested in this style yet...but it's wonderful
@flutefun999 From a philosophical standpoint, hyper realism is closing the gap between what man and machine can do. Where select people can do what "normal" people cannot. From a technical standpoint, hyper realism demonstrates the artists absolute attention to detail, and the dedication that it takes to make a painting look real.
@lancefitzgiben and how do u know they didn't change it up a little? This is pretty idealistic, I wouldn't be surprised if they took out dirt and unwanted things in their painting. You need to think about it in terms of before the camera, the more realistic the more skilled the artist. It's just a matter of opinion, but I'd take this person over a mondrian or rothko any day :p
I can just barely tell in SOME of the paintings that they are paintings. This is just incredible work though. Who painted these?
