This is an excellent rendition. Not too fast and very precise with a clear sound recording.
I have a 1993 CD recording of this piece played by none other than Marie-Claire Alain at St.Sulpice Paris, but she rushes it, resulting in clumsy and imprecise playing. The recording is also quite poor and sounds mushy.
So nice work Frederick. Now, where can we get a copy please?

An absolutely mind-blowing, awesome, divinely inspired composition and spine tingling execution of stratospheric proportions!! And, this is probably an understatement!!!

Beaucoup de lisibilité (contrairement à la plupart des interprétations!), un tempo qui tient, un orgue magnifique...chapeau bas!

I am happy to say that our parish is in the privileged postiion to have an organist who is able to play this magnificent piece of organ music on our comparatively humble instrument. He plays it at a fairly comparable speed. But hearing it played on such a powerful organ raises my heart even more. I'm aloft, hovering, flying, almost detached from earth... And I'm glad to be bable to share this feeling with my best friends.

Excellent performance. I love this piece and I have heard it both live and recorded many times and I must say this is the best perfomance (tempo, acoustics) so far
