The big chain is a standard 26" heavy link..I use the choker to transfer the nick to the SOUND of the links going through chain..This will help the owner later when the dog is on a walk without out the collar..This also helps the dog not to become collar wise...The dog reacts the same way to the sound as if it were a nick...I am up to learn new tec..tell me how you use it attached to the collar

wouldn;t the nick make more sense to the dog if you hooked the leash to the e-collar instead of that big chain??
