just one more year,then i am off to college, hopefully by then, when i start working, ill have saved enough money to afford one. I have a macbook, but it isnt good enoguh for EVERYTHING i want to do. It runs MAYA 3D fine but lags when i start adding some textures, so i am saving for this and a macbook pro...15 inch...wish me luck....lol

@Miistli wen i travel i usually spend an average of 25 to 30 euros on just drawing paper on the go......and thats alot for me to carry...so a prtable digital tablet is easier for me to work with anyway thaks for the reply

@theairman1997 I know this is a bit late to answer your question, but yes it does have to be connected to a laptop/pc. It's pretty much like a moniter, so it has to be connected to something, or you end up with a cintiq you can't use.

Salut, je vais surement avoir une Cintiq 12WX, comme ça, et je voudrais savoir quel logiciel tu utilises pour dessiner. J'ai OpenCanvas, mais j'aimerais bien savoir c'est lequel le meilleur tu vois :D?

@Huchixx Tous les programmes et logiciels sont compatibles avec le Cintiq, Mac et Windows.

How did you manage to calibrate the colors on this one? I tried so many things but I can't make the Cintiq match with my monitors! Everything I draw looks either too dark, too light or different color. Plus when I look at my result on other people's computers it looks way too messy! I gave up trying to use it. :(

Well, I don't if you have Win or Mac.
In the Mac (that I have) I can change the color in setup preference, there I have various option for get the best resolution and color that I like, but, in Win, surely you need to go control panel and tablet pen or found a icon cintiq for get that you want.
