Thanks a heap for the brilliant tutorials. They're super helpful, especially since I'm relatively new to Photoshop. All I need now is a tablet then I can get drawing, I'm useless with a mouse so it seems like the only way. And I make waaaay too much mess with regular paint. Thanks for showing us all a way to keep things organized :)

ok, after watching all of the videos of this, i have to say this is the MOST helpful photoshop tutorial i've seen. i always struggle with shading and my drawings look ok, but they aren't where i want them to be in terms of lighting. i just wanted to say from one artist to another, THANK YOU!!!

Thanks a bunch, though I'm not new to using Photoshop (I do photo manipulations) but I am new to painting my art on it... I never even thought of using the smudge tool for it.... -.-\
Some parts were a little annoying to me but after a while I realized you were being really detailed for people who haven't really used photoshop...
But yeah anyways, thanks a BUNCH! :)

@maglot lol yes, thats what i mean. thanks, it helped loads
cool vid, watched from part 1. I have a question if you dont mind. Do you use a tablet and if so is there a setting to make the lines all the same thickness? im having probs with my inking. When im done it looks wierd because the lines are different thicknesses. looking forward to watching your other vids and new ones to come ^_^

@XMasLeeX Yes I do use a tablet, and I'm assuming you're talking about pen pressure. The line changes thickness depending on how hard you press. You have to disable that in your brush settings. You can go up to Window - Brushes or hit F5 on your keyboard to open it. Click on one of your brushes and then uncheck the box that says "Shape Dynamics". Should do the trick.

Would you do a tutorial similar to this one for Gimp 2.0 for those of us who dont have the money to spend on photoshop?

@Epsillon42 I'm not really familiar with Gimp enough to be teaching others how to use it. But as for Photoshop, there's always bittorrent.

Great Tutorials.
But i got couple of problems with the eyes.
But not humans or animals.
You see i am a disturbed fan and i like the disturbed mascot(draw) and to make his eye is just immpossible for me.
I dont know from where to start.
I really hope you can make a tutorial of how to make (like a monsters eyes) or something like that.
Great Tutorials again.

@mlakop
They're just diamond shapes rotated at 45 degrees. Nothing really hard about that.
