My mother was a child actress on the Goldenrod Showboat out of St. Louis, MO before coming to NYC at 16 to attend AMDA - American Academy of Dramatic Arts. From the early days of TV to off-Broadway in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Steve McQueen to Broadway Productions like Hotel Paradiso, with Burt Lahr and Angela Lansbury. She retired from acting and went into production, she says, of children, having four babies in succession, Laurie-Carroll, Michael, Martha-Lee and Melanie, all two years apart. She also adopted Catherine - aka; Boots at age nine when she married the widower, Alfred C. (Chris) Bohn, Jr.
Looks like your mom had a zest for life. A certain flare.
