This short video demonstrates a prototype circuit using a TTS256 text-to-speech processor with a SpeakJet controlled by a AdaFruit BoArduino. This demonstrates the basics for my SpeakJet TTS Shield for the Arduino. More information at http://letsmakerobots.com/node/13210. Thanks for watching!

  • @SamuelAaronWard It's a referral to a bad Japanese-English translation from a game called Zero Wing. The original phrase is "All your base are belong to us".

  • Hello! :)

I just got my SpeakJet working (by manually typing in all of the phoneme + control data commands). I have a TTS256 chip, and I'm ready to try it out - to see if it makes things easier by doing the text-to-code conversions for me. ...My concern is this: I had to tweak the commands myself to get a slightly more natural sound. With the TTS256, does it produces intelligeable phrases?

Also, what's up with LMR's logo? It doesn't make sense, grammatically.
