I have installed the "Sequential Shifting System" (SSS) by "KAPS Transmissions" and tested it during a trackday in France. The unit is just working perfect and the feel is really WRC like. :-))

  • Hi Ade,

I switched back to the normal manual transmission due to problems with the swiss authorities.

But KAPS has meanwhile developped an hydraulic clutch, which can be used together with the SSS I had on my car. Just Google for SEQUENTIAL SHIFTING SYSTEM+KAPS

    cheers

    Rich

  • @mbdulka True! Very good explanation.

  • uber cool but your gear indicator is broken lol

  • @NemesisSypheroth

not really, but the exposure is really bad, as the cam films trough the windshield.

  • How much are they?

  • @SuperChevy446

The Sequential Shifting System for the Subaru Impreza STI is EUR 2680, the one for the EVO8/9 EUR 1625

  • I am interested, how much is it for a b series application as presented on the site?

  • @cyrrustvirus - you've presumably had the system a couple of years now, is it still working OK?

I'd love to find one of these "H" pattern adapters that dips the clutch too; shouldn't be difficult to do with a hydraulic clutch. If it killed/blipped the throttle at the same time, then it'd almost be like having a real sequential...

  • @reagnet1 You must use the clutch still, it just removes H pattern shifting, so you can't miss a gear and you can shift faster. If you watch clutchless shifting, that's a whole sequential tranny -- that's probably around 20-30,000 EUR ;-) You can do a poor man's setup if you put in dog gears ... you would then only have to clutch it when you shift down, you wouldn't need to do it shifting up.

  • you still have the clutch pedal. do you use it only for preventing stall?

  • @cyrrustvirus oh i see it...before i looked at it when it was in the light thats why..srry
