He's said he's fortunate in so many ways, including that with his PD he has neither the debilitating depression nor the 'fog' that some endure. So he's blessed to be able to put his considerable intelligence, celebrity and accumulated good will to work as a powerful tool to educate about advancements made, as well as the tantalizing fact that PD is a disease whose cure is within reach in a matter of years (which could lead to cures for a host of other afflictions as well). He's so very inspiring

That was why I was so shocked when I first heard of the research.

But I was misguided and I agree, miscarriage is unfortunate and abortion is sad, but if it's there, why not use it?

Glad you have an open mind

Was not trying to argue with you, just giving you a different (and correct) way to think about it.

In the past stem cell research has been used as a vehicle for a pro-life/pro-choice debate, and that is unfair to the practice of such a valuable medical tool.

In my opinion, the mere existence of the Hippocratic Oath pretty much guarantees that doctors will not start proactively killing unborn children to further this research.

I admire Michael in his fight against his disease, it's very inspiring.

If you feel bad about the embryos dying think about this...

Think about all of the miscarriages that occur, also think about how there are hundreds, if not thousands of abortions being performed every year regardless of stem cell research being allowed or not.

Think about how all of those stem cells are being thrown in the trash when they could be used to cure diseases.

Banning stem cell research will not stop abortion, it will allow doctors to use medical waste to cure diseases.

He is adorable. (If you think that's weird of me to say that,

then you're crazy because I'm a girl, and it's normal for girls

to say that about guys.) Anywaaay, I think he's an incredible

man with a wonderful sense of humor and he has a terrific

sense of humor! I know I'm young enough to be his kid ( 17 )

but he will always be my favorite actor and I will always think

he's hilarious. He hasn't lost his boyish charm or his big heart.

I love him! Michael, you're amazing. (: Stay strong!
