What an intelligent, powerful, yet gentle dog! My husband and I have been looking for a new companion since ours both passed away, and we want a gentle guardian for our home. The Anatolian Shepard dog seems to be perfect!

She is a friend's dog, but what I know from her experiences are... They are somewhat aloof and cautious with strangers. Very good at guarding property. Smart, but stubborn and need training and a good leader!! That is not optional. They seem to love cool weather and and space to run. Can be destructive.
She played with our rottweiler very well and is awesome around children. In someways, her personality really reminds me of the rottweiler. They are both working dogs.
