MST3K - Favorite Moments - The Space Children

In episode 906 we're subjected to yet another Willam Alland production (The Mole People, The Deadly Mantis, Revenge of the Creature, and This Island Earth which have all recieved the mst3k treatment).
This time a bunch of kids come under the control of a growing blob of nougat from space in order to try to stop the arms-race.
This is of course filmed in exotic locations such as a trailerpark near a beach somewhere.
Just to get us in the right mood, we're first subjected to the short "21'st Century Calling..." which teaches us the wonders of modern communication through two kids who wouldn't be out of place in a old Nazi propaganda film!
Look out for one-tracked monorail designers, kids, the wonders of polyester, push button phones, gay pride parades, soup bowl designs, Jackie Coogan (Fester from The Addams Family), the Don King State Forest, a phone call to the Devil, the children of the damned, Jackie Coogan in womany robes, sock washing, more kids, a growing blob of nougat, out of control sitting, new ways to off us, baldness, Jackie Coogan in upsettingly short shorts, a boy not appearing in the film, clear areas, Johnson stuck in a zipper, the magnificent seven... year olds, script by Sct. Matthew, and way to much of Coogan revealed!

This short was really interesting when you see it in full. They predict lots of stuff we have today. The only thing they did not get right was the miniaturization of the computer. They thought all the processing that your smart phone does would have to be done at some huge corporation computer you would have to use a phone to access.
