Why do we allow Yt to be a forum for the dregs of humanity? Is it to be expected?

You still look cute, no matter the camera quality. I do agree that a person can be "someone else" online, fantasy land, etc, but not necessarily out of boredom. There needs to be some line drawn though, a line of morality and reasonable behavior. It is not ok, no. A person needs to behave themselves no matter what.

Howdo?!..You are clearly intelligent and a good talker...and, presumably a good listener...I think one of the major functions of u-tube is the same old segregation shit only with the added feature that someone can have as many 'virtual' and impersonal friends as they want...LOL..for example, I was going to send you a friend invite but I see you have over 3000 already!..I am quite popular in the so-called 'real' world but I coudn't cope with or have THAT amount of friends face to face..Respect!

Like some users have stated, I think that it /is/ true that the Internet allows us to be someone else. For example, some of us on youtube have accounts where we role play our favorite characters. That, at least for me, is a way to release creativity and have a bit of fun. That's what I think role playing should be about. It shouldn't be used as a way to criticize and say/do things to others. As with everything, you have to use your brain, which some people, unfortunately, don't.

To an extent, I agree with the comment, but I don't think it's acceptable. The attitude comes from the idea of there being no course of action to take against such behavior. The internet is an outlet used for many different reasons. A source of income, spreading messages, meeting people, just to name a few. It's also a place where people utalize YT and other forums as their personal soapbox to spread their biased, cloud nine ideals.

Trolling and stalking and plain old bullying should not be allowed. If I owned a social networking site your IP adress would be tracked and your ass would be banned. The end. I don't think that everyone on YouTube is here b/c their life is boring. Mine is far from it. It think it's just an escape for some... an outlet if you will. I personally ENJOY the interraction. YouTube is something different to each of us. Twats will be twats and kind hearted people will continue to scratch our heads over why twats are twats. I do think that PROPER BEHAVIOUR is a problem for some people once they feel 'protected' by the land of the anonymous. It is sad to me.

Assholes come from all places and sadly this is an easy place for them to express their anger.... and without a face. We can role play in real life, but a troll would most likely just get punched in the face or arrested.

My life isn't boring either? I play MMORPG because it is fun! I like to share my life with others being a military spouse and a mother to 4 children. My life is really crazy! But I still love it. I can't stand people who make comments like that. Yeah the internet can be a fantasy land but there is "real" people like you and me who enjoy to share our lives with others. Seems like we have TONS of trolls on the internet. They are EVERYWHERE!!!!
