@vspaliwalkt She is not 'worshiping' a Tulsi Tree. In the movie, it is a mango tree.The characters of the movie are set against a backdrop of rural Bengal, where Sari and Bindi are the norm for the women. This points to a regional phenomenon, not a religious one. She does not wear a Mangal Sutra. Please do not delude yourself. You are seeing things.
