Incoming Server: pop.us.army.mil Port: 995 (SSL)
Outgoing Server: mailrouter.us.army.mil Port 465 (SSL)

*You can still use smtp.us.army.mil as an outgoing server, BUT, it will keep popping up with that "Certificate cannot be verified" everytime you send. Reason being, the certificate is related to the "mailrouter" server on it, not smtp.

  • Scrappmutt2 can u get ur outlook global i mean to ur pc? U know the email that goes like this john.doe@conus.army.mil

  • @DjSmokeyDokee If you mean email related to your unit's domain, you would have to check with your network admin or help desk and find out if they offer POP3, IMAP, or some other service that would allow you to check the email from Outlook (on say a home computer). If they do, they should be able to provide you with the specific settings and usually a how to catered specifically to those settings

  • if u have cod6 give my account back

  • @redchip6 huh?

  • So Josh have you had issues becuase of the somewhat new KBA questions? I am getting locked out of my acct and the help desk tells me one of the reasons is the KBA security and SSO (single sign on) accts. I asked if using outlook is considered an SSO and I am waiting to hear back.

If it is this using outlook becomes a problem until the"engineers" as he put it fix the issue which has no est time to be resolved.

    thanks again

  • @ericsfo1 The only place those security questions should be used is when logging on to the website. I think i did my questions about a year ago, and I havn't noticed any conflicts between it and outlook (and i use outlook daily). Outlook should just be using the password alone. I'm not sure why your account would kep getting locked out, but i doubt outlook is causing it
