  • Out of curiosity, what kind of budget are you working with? Well done; it was entertaining.

  • The budget was around $10,000-$12,000 Canadian in 1997. As a student film, it would be a lot cheaper today, as it would be shot digitally - most of the expense was for 16mm film stock.

  • I just found this...it was entertaining and I watched all 3 ...thanks for posting^^

  • Awesome! So glad you enjoyed it! I think you're my first viewer from South Korea!

  • Your vision of "dynamic nostalgia" makes The Scarlet Avenger

stand out among other pulp-styled projects I've seen. Great work, Scott and all. Be proud. Very proud.

  • Thanks for all your great comments, man! What do you mean by 'dynamic nostalgia'? I've never heard the term.

  • This stuff is great! Well done man, well done.

  • you are so cool for making this...

  • That was kind of the point, I believe.

  • Nostalgia, to me, is a passive yearning for things treasured, bygone and likely idealized. Recreating a pulp/serial work in a way both new and true to form is

    giving motion to the memory.
