Visit http://www.avantgravity.com/3d_satori_anaglyph.html for a higher-res version of this animation. If you happen to have red/blue 3-D glasses lying around (available for under a dollar in many stores, and pretty easy to make yourself if you have plastic gel sheets and thick paper), then you can view this in 3-D. The advantage of anaglyph is that you really don't have to do any work to see the 3-D effect, but the downside is a substantial loss of color definition, and some people tend to get headaches from using red/blue glasses for an extended period. The accompanying song is "The Scientist" by Coldplay (for which I'm working on obtaining permission)...

  • No worries, it is the best 3D video on youtube. Also love this and the other two on your website.

  • I'm grateful for the encouragement! Much appreciated. :)

  • hey amazing video but i have 3D glasses that dont have colored lenses just normal do u know what kind that is notthing 3D on youtube works for me i got them at the theater for a 3D movie

  • What you probably have is a pair of passive polarized glasses, which requires a special display or projection system to deliver stereoscopic 3D content (horizontally polarized image stream to one eye, and a vertically polarized stream to the other)... Sadly, they won't work for anaglyph (red/blue 3D) animations, but on the bright side, if you can afford $5k-$10k for a polarized display, it's the best way to view stereoscopic 3-D content! :)

  • Wow, you just made my day! :) I'll be adding more stereo content to my website over the coming months, as I just began a directed study with Kerner Optical -- a spinoff from Industrial Light and Magic that specializes in stereoscopic 3-D technology. I'm basically learning everything I can on the subject over the coming semester so I can produce my masters project (a 7 minute animated film on gravity) in stereo by early next year. Cheers, and thanks again!

  • completely completely amazing.

  • Well, thank you kindly!
