  • Interesting. I saw a Kinks video from NME also. Their sound (the mix) was awful. I initially thought it was someone doing a 'sing-along overdub' and ruining a good performance, but after listening again, I realized it was just a horrible mix by the sound man. Makes me wonder if all of the NME recordings were bad, as this seems like an overdubbed track as well. Who knows, no biggy...just observating.

  • @MHFROX It's not an overdub. For some reason, the audio became out of sync when I uploaded this clip (my apologies). But it's truly the Pacemakers performing live.

  • I first heard this song when I saw Wayne Newton sing it as a teen in the movie "7 Steps to Jonah", and he sang it well. Thanks for the footage, classic stuff!

  • English, right on!

  • I will always love this song by Gerry and the Pacemakers, it has been my favorite song for all these years.

  • mom i miss u so much

  • @gamma68 Certainly no apology necessary...great song, regardless. I could tell it was G & the Pm's, just, as you said, way out of sync...it happens.

  • good stuff
