  • Melts just like butter I just love this tune and these masterful wonderful players.

  • What a masterful recording. All the heavies! How could no one listen to this???

I met Zoot in Vegas with Carl Fontana and then again in the Canary Islands where I worked a gig with Irv Rochlin. Zoot came up to me and I didn't recognize him. He said "You sing very well, Miss." and I fluffed him off until Jimmy Gourley said "I see you met Zoot." I said "When?" and he said "You were just talking to him."

  • Beautiful melody and Zoot does it justice but try Connie Boswell's arrangement..........the best.

  • Who thinks so . . . . until . . . Know ...?

  • Superb! For a fine vocal rendition of this great song, search Youtube for the version by Connee Boswell.

  • De la pure musique. Merci pour ce post.

Avec Hank Jones, quel classe !

  • I saw Zoot at The Marqui in London ( about 1980), guesting with Dankworth. Because of overcrowding I was sitting on the floor, right in front for his music stand. He hadn't arrived! Because of flight delays, he arrives about two minutes before the start of the concert; peruses the chart for a few seconds - then plays like a God. He is one of those musicians - after only a few notes - I know THAT'S Zoot RIP.

  • Thanks for posting. I'm an old dude that finally is interested in Jazz.

  • I keep coming back to this beautifully rendered tune and the nice video you have created. It is one of my favorites on Youtube. Thank you so much for posting it.
