Kew braved the snow this morning to protest in force against a second (and very similar) application to build a 'monolithic overdevelopment' on the old Inland Revenue site next to the National Archives in Kew.
Site owners Parkway Properties of Ireland and Luxembourg had their first plans refused by Richmond Council, and then appealed to the Planning Inspectorate who help a Public Enquiry and also refused it....describing the plans as creating a 'canyon-like' effect because of its height and dominating effect.
'We find it incredible that this second application is so little different from the first' said Kew Residents Association.....'the entire community is united in resisting such an unsuitable development on this important site."
Residents were joined by Kew Councillors to mark the start of what may sadly be another lengthy struggle to 'save Kew riverside'

This is a very spirited protest. With such verve, I don't see how you can't succeed. All good wishes!
