@figatomek and Wing's own in T.V sports rating's here in Michigan over any other sports team in Michigan. when the Leaf's play any team in the south or east coast i see a few Leaf's fan but not a ton maybe in Canada they show up every but not in the states and if you ask anybody who doesn't watch hockey here in the US the first team they name is the Red Wings...

@figatomek The Leaf's have a huge fan base dont get me wrong. In product sales Leaf's are 1st but the Red Wing's are 2nd that is why Bettman is having the Winter Classic with the Wing's vs Leaf's is cause these are the 2 largest fan bases in hockey and Bettman knows the money he'll make from this. Wings basicly sellout every home game even with Michigan's shitty Economy people dont have jobs in Michigan but they are still willing to pay money to watch the Wings play...

@figatomek Leaf's are the most liked hockey team in Canada. In the US it's a diffrent story whenever the Wing's play The Lighting it's a sold out game full of all red look up video's and when they play the Duck's and the Coyote's and the Star's and Canes and the Blue Jacket's, hell they even call the Blue Jacket's arena the Southern Joe Louis arena cause its full of Wings fans...

Detroit - hockey town .... Toronto - Hockey capital.... You do the foken math!
We haven't made the playoffs in 7 years, but still have the highest revenues in all of hockey and even in small struggling markets - when the Leaf roll into town, it's ALWAYS a sell out crowd..... You can't say the same about any other hockey team.

I BLASTED this song outta my bedroom window when the wings won the cup in 08!!! There was fireworks going off, car horns blaring ,people jumping in the streets and blasting any source of sound they can get their hands on!
Man what i wouldnt give to have that all again!
