I had someone message me to request Misty, so here it is! I decided to keep it pretty simple, while playing the melody and in my solo.

Also, thanks to everyone for watching, listening, and leaving feedback to my videos -- I have gotten over 5,000 views now! There have been a few other requests too so I will get around to those, and as always...if you have something you'd like to hear, let me know.

Enjoy!

  • great job on this!

How do you like your keyboard?

Why the mic instead of direct line in?

    *****

  • I really like the keyboard. It's a Yamaha YPG-625 and it's worked out very well for me (although it's a bit heavy to take to gigs). The mic just happens to be there, I don't use it to record for these videos. Unfortunately, I can't (or at least don't know a way to) do a direct line in because I only have a laptop and no recording stuff. The sound is taken from the video camera's mic, which does a decent job.

    Ciao :o)

  • @MisterMusicMann6

I thought the slow tempo worked well, personally.

  • Love it. Subscribed.

  • Beautiful voicing. maybe a little slow.... but hey, you got your point across. maybe no sheet next time haha. diggin the pants.

  • Absolutely beautiful =] I love it! Thanks for playing this for me, I'm playing this same piece for my manhattan school of music precollege audition on Saturday, I like your version a lot. I also have the yamaha ypg-625, it's amazing.

  • I have a cheap mixer I bought from Guitar Center. I have 2 mics in, but I can also input the line-out from the YPG. It's a USB mixer so I plug directly into the laptop. I use Audacity for recording, which is free. You could probably do it for $50 or so. Check my latest videos if you have a minute.
